This workshop is intended for physiotherapists who are currently certified for x-ray prescription by l'Ordre professionnel de la physiothérapie du Quebec (OPPQ). The workshop meets the ongoing continuing education requirements to maintain this certification.
The instructors will guide participants in the effective use of x-ray imaging, review current recommendations, and present clinically relevant scenarios, with a focus on actual x-rays.

The workshop will be offered in English. Questions are welcome in both French and English. Presentation materials will be available in English only.
Learning Objectives:
- Optimize imaging requests to facilitate the diagnosis of musculoskeletal injuries.
- Identify clinical scenarios where x-ray imaging may be warranted, while remaining cognizant of its limitations.
- Appreciate how clinical context and system realities impact your decision to order (or not) plain x-rays.
- Recognize x-ray and imaging report clues that indicate the need for additional imaging and/or close follow up.
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with physicians to advocate for optimal patient care.
